St. Michaels Sailing Charters Policies

Lady Patty carries of maximum of 13 guests.

Epiphany carries a maximum of 6 guests (Epiphany is also available for private bareboat charters for up to 13 guests).

The U.S. Coast Guard considers all children (regardless of how small they are or what age they are) to be passengers, and as such, you need to count them in, too. For example, mom, dad, and their six-month-old are three paying guests, not two.

Cancellations due to weather are made at the captain’s discretion, typically about 15 minutes before departure. If we’re unable to sail because of unsafe conditions, there is no charge.*

We’re often asked, “Do you sail rain or shine?” If guests are willing, we’ll sail in light mist, but we do not go out in heavy rain.

Per Person Reservations

• Cancel up to 24 hours before departure for a full refund.

• Champagne Sunset Cruises require 72 hours notice for a full refund.

2 Hour Private Charters

• More than 7 days before charter: Full refund.

• 7 days to 72 hours before charter: 50% refund.

• Less than 72 hours before charter: No refund.

Half Day, Full Day & Special Event Charters

• More than 14 days before charter: Full refund.

• 14 days to 5 days before charter: 50% refund.

• Less than 5 days before charter: No refund.

Multi-Day Private Charters & ASA Classes

• More than 45 days before charter: Full refund.

• 45 days to 14 days before charter: 50% refund.

• Less than 14 days before charter: No refund.

Epiphany Bareboat Charters

• More than 30 days before charter: Full refund.

• 30 days to 48 hours before charter: 50% refund.

• Less than 48 hours before charter: No refund.

Additional Information

• No-shows are charged the full price.

• Guests will receive a full refund* or credit for cancellations made within the proper notice period.

• Full refunds* or credit will also be issued if the operator cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

If you need to cancel, please email [email protected]. If you do not receive a cancellation confirmation within 48 hours, or before the cancellation deadline, please call to confirm we received your request.

If you must cancel within the no-refund window, call us as soon as possible. While refunds are not guaranteed, we may be able to resell your seats to guests on our waitlist. The earlier you contact us, the better the chance.

We understand that unexpected delays (traffic, emergencies, etc.) can happen. Missed trips are non-refundable, so we recommend arriving well in advance.

Children of all ages are welcome aboard our sailing yachts. We love kids! We have infant, toddler, childrens, tweens, teens and youth life jackets to fit all sizes and ages. For example, mom, dad, and their six-month-old are three guests, not two.

We love animals! To create the best experience for our guests, pets are only permitted on private charters and cannot be accommodated on per-person or shared sails.

For private charters that include dogs, we kindly ask that they wear protective booties to help prevent scratches on our decks and preserve our varnish work. To help with extra cleaning and preparation, we charge a $25 pet fee.

Lady Patty – Per Person Charters

We offer a selection of pre-ordered, boat-appropriate provisions prepared in partnership with trusted local businesses (highly recommended).

Guests are welcome to bring light snacks or handheld items at no additional charge. Due to the intimate layout of Lady Patty and the nature of shared group bookings, plates, napkins, silverware, and serving ware are not provided and cannot be accommodated onboard.

Lady Patty – Private Charters

For private experiences aboard Lady Patty, guests may select from our curated pre-order menu or bring their own food at no additional charge.

Please note that tableware and serving items are not available on Lady Patty, as space is thoughtfully reserved for comfort and sailing enjoyment.

Epiphany – Per Person & Private Charters

Aboard Epiphany, guests may enjoy our recommended pre-ordered culinary selections or bring their own food at no additional charge.

Plates, napkins, silverware, and basic serving pieces are available onboard, allowing for a more traditional dining setup while you relax and take in the views.

Alcohol Service
To ensure a seamless and compliant sailing experience, outside alcohol is not permitted on per person or private charters.

The exception is Bareboat Charters aboard Epiphany, which operate as strictly BYOB in accordance with bareboat charter regulations.

Non-Alcoholic Refreshments
Complimentary bottled water is provided for all guests. A curated selection of sodas and additional non-alcoholic beverages is available for purchase onboard.

Lady Patty is equipped with a small marine head available for emergency use, also located down a short set of steps.

Epiphany features a private and spacious modern marine head (bathroom) located down a short set of steps.

For both sailboats, we recommend guests use the lobby restroom at the Harbour Inn before boarding.
